I wanted to take a minute just to write a little something to the readers of my website. One of the biggest things in my book to a happy life is to be yourself. I know that is such a common thing for people to say to others but it truly is my motto.
I have been openly gay for about five or six years now, and coming out was one of the greatest things I have ever done in my life. I am not going to lie, I was terrified to and was in denial most of my childhood. I know that people had speculated that I was, or as some people say that it was “no surprise’; but I was still so scared.
I just wanted to tell whoever is reading this to please never stop being yourself. I know that it isn’t easy when people go after you and constantly bash you for it, but you have to tune them out. It is much easier said than done but it’s the truth.
I let what people say affect who I was and that truly brought me into the darkest place I’ve ever been in my life. I never want anyone else to feel that way for just being who they are. You are beautiful and worth every breath you take. No matter who you are, what color you are, what race you are, what you identify as, or what your sexuality is….YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
Please, never stop being yourself and always embrace who you are. Life is way to short to listen to what ignorant people say, you are perfect just the way you are!
