Troye Sivan is officially entering a new chapter with the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album, She’s the Best, available now alongside his latest single, “FF,” and its accompanying music video.
Following his 2023 album Something to Give Each Other, which delivered fan favorites like “Rush,” “One of Your Girls” and “Got Me Started,” the Aussie pop star returns with a project that explores both the excitement of life in the spotlight and the quieter, more personal emotions that can exist behind it.
Across 13 tracks, She’s the Best offers listeners a more intimate look at Troye’s experiences over the past few years, balancing the freedom of nightlife with themes of love, loneliness, identity and the desire for meaningful connection.
THE DIFFERENT SIDES OF ‘SHE’S THE BEST’
For Troye, the new album is about embracing every side of his life, including the moments that aren’t necessarily visible to the outside world.
Describing the project as a painting of his life in all its different moods and colors, the singer explained how the album reflects the contrast between his larger-than-life experiences and the emotions that followed when the excitement faded.
“There is this high-octane side to the album that feels really bombastic, and then there are the songs that feel like the interior of my mind,” Troye shared in an interview when asked about the record.
Arriving alongside the album is “FF,” a deeply personal track that explores longing for a love that hasn’t arrived yet. While the previously released “Party” celebrates the excitement and freedom of nightlife, “FF” approaches romance from a different perspective, focusing on the anticipation of finding someone to share your life with.
The song imagines a future relationship with someone Troye has yet to meet, capturing both the vulnerability of waiting for love and the optimism of believing that connection is still possible.
A CELEBRATION OF THE WOMEN WHO SHAPED HIM
Despite the more introspective themes throughout the album, She’s the Best is also a celebration of the people who have helped Troye become the artist and person he is today.
The album’s title track pays tribute to the women and feminine influences who have shaped his life, from friendships and creative relationships to the larger queer community that has played such an important role in his journey.
Its accompanying music video features Nicole Kidman, while the album also includes contributions from Charli xcx and Lily-Rose Depp.
It’s a particularly meaningful element of the project, highlighting the importance of those relationships while exploring how love and connection can take many different forms.
A NEW CHAPTER FOR TROYE SIVAN
Since first emerging as a young artist, Troye has continued to evolve, building a career that extends beyond music into fashion, film and creative expression.
With She’s the Best, he appears more interested than ever in sharing the full picture of his experiences rather than focusing exclusively on the glamorous moments that come with being a pop star.
The result is an album that explores the complicated relationship between happiness and loneliness, confidence and vulnerability, and the excitement of the present alongside the uncertainty of what comes next.
And for longtime fans, it’s another opportunity to experience a new side of an artist who has consistently grown with each release.
She’s the Best is available now on all major streaming platforms!
