Country music has always had those artists you can spot from a mile away… the ones with “it.” The ones who walk onstage and, within minutes, make it feel like they’re already headlining stadiums, even if they’re still in the middle of their rise.
Last night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, Tucker Wetmore proved that he’s one of those artists. The singer officially launched The Brunette World Tour Part 2, and if opening night is any indication of what’s to come, this tour is going to be something special.
Before Tucker took the stage, the crowd was treated to two incredible opening acts. At just 16 years old, Maddox Batson continues to blow me away. It’s honestly hard to believe someone so young can have that kind of voice and tell stories with such maturity. He’s one of those artists who make you stop and pay attention immediately, and I have a feeling we’re only scratching the surface of what he’s capable of.

Jacob Hackworth, a friend of Tucker’s and another rising talent, also delivered a standout set. With an incredible voice and an easygoing stage presence, he more than held his own in front of an arena crowd that was eager for a great night of country music.
Then, around 9:30PM, the lights went down. And the arena erupted. When I say the building shook, I mean it! The screams were deafening as Tucker made his way to the stage, greeting fans with the signature southern charm that’s helped make him one of country music’s fastest-rising stars.
And yes, let’s address the elephant in the room. The man knows how to work a crowd. Every time Tucker would move his hips, the arena absolutely lost its mind. The funniest part? He couldn’t help but laugh at the reactions himself. It’s clear he doesn’t take himself too seriously, and that playful personality only makes fans love him even more.

But beyond the heartthrob status and the viral moments, what impressed me most was his stage presence. Tucker has swagger, real swagger. He commands an arena with confidence while somehow making it feel intimate at the same time. He interacts with fans, talks to the crowd, and genuinely seems happy to be there.
In an era where some artists rush through a set with little interaction, Tucker understands that a concert is an experience. And that’s a big reason why his fans connect with him so deeply.

Of course, the hits were all there. “Bad Habit” had the crowd singing every single word. “Brunette” turned the arena into one giant party. And “Wine Into Whiskey” felt every bit of anthemic as you’d hope. As great as those songs are on record, hearing them live takes them to another level, and then there’s the voice.
Simply put, Tucker Wetmore has one of the best voices in country music today. I don’t love comparing artists because everyone deserves to carve out their own lane, but watching him perform last night reminded me of Tim McGraw.

Not because they sound alike, but because they share that same confidence, charm, and undeniable star quality. The kind of presence that makes you think, “This guy is going to be around for a very long time.” Tucker isn’t trying to be anyone else; he’s building his own legacy, one sold-out show at a time.
As The Brunette World Tour Part 2 continues through October, with stops in Calgary, Indianapolis, San Diego, Los Angeles, Knoxville, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, and more before wrapping up in Las Vegas on October 24th.
One thing feels certain, Tucker Wetmore isn’t just having a moment; he’s building a career. And if last night’s show in Connecticut was any indication, country music’s next superstar may already be standing right in front of us.
Thank you to Tucker, his team, the tour crew, and the incredible ladies at OH Creative; thank you for having me and for being so sweet!
