Find Out Who Just Picked Up ‘Batwoman’

Ruby Rose’s ‘Batwoman‘ just got picked up by the CW! It was reported last week that the network gave a pilot order to the DC project, and that it’d be directed by David Nutter. Something a bit more exciting is that the show also marks the FIRST EVER gay lead character of a live-action superhero series.

Deadline reveled the summary of the show, and it sounds pretty exciting. “Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”

While there isn’t an official release date just yet, it will be coming out this year! Are you guys excited to see Ruby Rose as Batwoman?!
