Charli xcx isn’t interested in doing things the traditional way, and her 2026 Music, Fashion, Film tour is all the proof we need!
The pop icon recently invited i-D behind the scenes of her ambitious new tour, giving fans an inside look at the creative decisions, fashion and performances that brought the entire production to life.
Filmed across two nights in Brooklyn, the feature takes viewers beyond the stage for a closer look at the woman behind one of pop music’s most exciting live productions.
And if there’s one thing Charli knows how to do, it’s keep us talking!
MORE THAN JUST A CONCERT!
What does a pop tour look like in 2026? Better yet, what could it look like? That’s the question at the center of i-D’s new behind-the-scenes feature.
Rather than following the usual arena-tour formula, Charli approached Music, Fashion, Film as something much bigger than a collection of songs performed onstage. The result? A show where music, fashion, movement and cinematic storytelling all share the spotlight.
Throughout the feature, Charli discusses the creative process behind the tour, including how the setlist, wardrobe, choreography and overall presentation came together.
It’s a rare opportunity to see the thought and collaboration that go into creating a production of this scale.
Because while fans see the finished spectacle, there’s an entire creative world happening behind the curtain.
CHARLI’S WORLD, CHARLI’S RULES!
Since kicking off the tour on September 11 in Philadelphia, Charli has continued to prove that she’s one of pop’s most exciting creative forces.
The North American leg officially wrapped on October 23 in Las Vegas, closing out a run that pushed the boundaries of what an arena show can be.
And the best part? She’s not finished yet!
Charli will return to the stage on February 13, 2027, in Dublin, launching the European leg before the tour eventually concludes on March 21 in São Paulo, Brazil.
A NEW STANDARD FOR POP?
What makes Music, Fashion, Film so exciting is that Charli isn’t simply performing her music. She’s building an entire experience around it.
From the visual direction to the fashion and the way each performance connects to the next, the tour feels like an extension of her artistic identity.
And getting to hear Charli explain those decisions herself makes the experience even more interesting.
At a time when arena tours are bigger and more elaborate than ever, she’s reminding us that creativity doesn’t have to follow a formula.
Sometimes the most exciting thing an artist can do is throw out the rulebook entirely.
