A spoonful of Emily helps the medicine go down, right?!
Emily Blunt is gearing up for the release of one of her most highly anticipated films yet, “Mary Poppins Returns,” and recently caught up with the UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar for their January 2019 issue.
Speaking on preparing for the role of the iconic Mary Poppins, originally played by Julie Andres, Emily said ““Even though I’d seen the film as a child, I decided not to watch it when prepping.” She continued, “She was so clear to me from reading that I decided not to be intimidated by the iconic Julie Andrews in the iconic role, and just approached it as I would any other part.”
Emily also spoke about living in Brooklyn, NY with the magazine. “There’s a multicultural, villagey feel, we don’t have a car, we walk everywhere and people are cool, they leave us alone,” she said.
