The Pussycat Dolls brought the nostalgia, the choreography, and the attitude back to the American Music Awards last night, marking their first performance at the show in 20 years.
The newly formed trio delivered a crowd-pleasing medley that reminded everyone exactly why the Dolls became such a defining pop force in the first place.
Their set included fan favorites “Buttons,” “When I Grow Up,” “Club Song,” and, of course, “Don’t Cha,” which closed the performance with a little extra help from the iconic Busta Rhymes. It was a full-circle moment for the group, linking their early hitmaking era with their latest return to the spotlight in one high-energy performance.
The group will launch the PCD Forever Tour on September 9th at Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, kicking off a major run that will bring them through Norway, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Ireland, and the U.K.
The tour is shaping up to be a full celebration of the Dolls’ signature blend of pop, attitude, and high-energy performance, giving fans across Europe a chance to experience the comeback in real time.
The run will wrap on October 13th at The O2 in London with a special appearance from Lil’ Kim, adding an extra layer of star power to the finale.
Before heading overseas for their European tour, the Dolls will also take over OUTLOUD’s WeHo Pride Festival in Los Angeles on June 6th. With the AMA stage now checked off and more live dates ahead, it’s clear the group is leaning all the way into this comeback moment.
