A warrior and an inspiration to all is speaking out…

Last weekend, Demi Lovato attended the 2019 Teen Vogue Summit and spoke out for the first time since her struggles that took place over a year ago. The singer and songwriter looked happy, healthy, and glowing while at the event and spoke about her past experiences in life, social media, inspiration, the hopes from fans on new music, and much more.

Speaking on her biggest inspiration right now, Demi gave a shout out to the person that’s stood by her the most; her Mother. “The person that I think that’s most impacting me today is my mom,” she says. “We’ve gotten really close over the past couple of months and her strength just continues to inspire me every single day.”

As to what she sees when she looks into the mirror? She’s giving herself the self love and credit she deserves. “I see someone that has overcome a lot… like, if I could change my middle name to ‘Resilience,’ which I can, so I don’t know why I just said that… I would.”

She continued, “I just have been through a lot and I genuinely see a fighter. Like, I don’t see a championship winner in there, but I see a fighter. “I just want people to remember that I’m a singer. A lot of the things that I have been through outshined my successes in the music industry. I just want people to remember that that’s what I want to give to the world, so please focus on that.”

While there isn’t a full official video of the ray of light’s interview, fans can watch a recorded fan video below. Cheers to Demi and her continued self-progress… she truly will always be known as someone who’s impacted the world with her story.
