Lukas Gage is giving readers another chance to dive into his story with the paperback release of his memoir, I Wrote This for Attention!
Originally published on October 14, 2025, through Simon & Schuster, the book takes readers beyond the Hollywood spotlight and into some of the most personal chapters of Lukas’ life.
And as the title suggests, he’s not exactly holding back!
MORE THAN JUST A HOLLYWOOD MEMOIR!
Known for his roles in The White Lotus, Euphoria and You, Lukas opens up about his upbringing in Southern California, his complicated family relationships, his journey into acting and the experiences that shaped him along the way.
But this isn’t your typical celebrity memoir.
Throughout the book, Lukas explores everything from sexuality and substance use to mental health, including his experience receiving a borderline personality disorder diagnosis.
With humor, vulnerability and plenty of self-awareness, he reflects on his search for identity, the mistakes he’s made and what it means to finally start understanding yourself.
It’s a story about growing up, finding your place in the world and learning that sometimes the most important relationship you can work on is the one you have with yourself.
A NEW EDITION WITH A SPECIAL FOREWORD!
The paperback edition also features a foreword by bestselling author Colleen Hoover, adding another special touch to Lukas’ deeply personal story.
The memoir has earned attention for its candid approach to topics that many celebrities might shy away from, with Vogue describing it as a story of queer self-invention.
And that’s what makes this book especially interesting. Behind the Hollywood headlines is someone sharing his experiences with identity, mental health, healing and learning to embrace who he is.
I Wrote This for Attention is a reminder that sometimes being vulnerable and telling your story can be one of the most powerful things you do.
Congratulations to Lukas on the paperback release!
