Christmas has come early!
Hilary Duff is officially getting into the holiday spirit with the release of her brand-new EP, Holiday Things, available now through Atlantic Records!
The five-track project features three original holiday songs, a new interpretation of the Christmas classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and a special re-recording of “Last Christmas,” which Hilary originally covered on her 2002 holiday album, Santa Claus Lane.
And for anyone who grew up listening to Hilary’s Christmas music, this is such a fun little full-circle moment!
A LITTLE CHRISTMAS NOSTALGIA!
It’s been 24 years since Hilary released Santa Claus Lane, and now she’s giving fans another holiday soundtrack to enjoy!
Her new EP includes five songs:
- “All You Want for Christmas Is Me”
- “Last Christmas (Mine)”
- “I Want (a few small things)”
- “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”
- “I Guess It’s Christmas”
The project was produced by Matthew Koma and Brian Phillips, who also worked on Hilary’s latest studio album, luck… or something.
And the updated version of “Last Christmas”? That’s definitely going to bring back some memories for longtime fans!
HILARY LOVES CHRISTMAS… BUT THERE’S A CATCH!
To celebrate the release, Hilary shared a hilarious and relatable message with fans about her relationship with the holidays.
“Everyone who knows me knows I lovvvve and also have a complicated relationship with Christmas and the holiday season,” she wrote.
She went on to share her love for Christmas traditions, decorations, music, sweaters, shopping and gingerbread houses. But there’s one thing she’s VERY clear about: Once the holidays are over, she’s ready to pack everything away!
Hilary joked that she wants the Christmas spirit concentrated into the season and back in her attic by January 1. Honestly, we love a queen who knows exactly when it’s time to take down the decorations!
VINYL, CDS AND LIMITED-EDITION MERCH!
Fans who want to add Holiday Things to their physical music collections can also preorder the EP on vinyl and CD through Hilary’s official store.
The store also features special holiday merchandise and collectible editions, including exclusive vinyl variants.
Physical copies are expected to ship in December, so fans can enjoy the music digitally in the meantime.
Between her return to music, her latest album, touring and now a brand-new Christmas EP, Hilary has certainly been keeping fans busy this year.
And honestly, we’re not complaining!
Holiday Things is OUT NOW! Thank you for bringing a little extra Christmas magic into our lives, Hilary!
