Disney gave fans a lot to get excited about at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California. The first day of the three-day celebration delivered new trailers, casting announcements, first looks, and release dates spanning Marvel, Pixar, Disney Animation, Lucasfilm, and television.

From a new X-Men lineup to major updates on Frozen 3, The Incredibles 3, Coco 2, Tangled, and The Bluey Movie, the next few years of Disney releases are looking very busy.

Pixar Updates

Pixar revealed that The Incredibles 3 will put Violet and Dash Parr in the spotlight as they work to prove they can follow in their superhero parents’ footsteps. The sequel is scheduled to arrive in theaters in June 2028.

The studio also previewed Coco 2, which will hit theaters in November 2029. Benjamin Bratt is returning as Ernesto de la Cruz, while early artwork reveals that Miguel is no longer a child and will appear as a teenager in the sequel.

A brand-new original story, Ghost Market, is also on the way in 2028. The film follows Kyle, a quick-witted Chicago teen and content creator whose move to Hawaii takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a hidden after-hours marketplace where the living and the dead coexist.

Disney Movies

Fans got a first look at Disney’s live-action Tangled, starring Tegan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider. The adaptation is set to hit theaters on March 31, 2028.

Disney also shared a teaser for The Bluey Movie, which arrives August 6, 2027, and confirmed that a third Zootopia film is in development with Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan returning.

Lilo & Stitch 2 is officially moving forward, with star Maia Kealoha teasing a May 28, 2028, release date and confirming that Angel, Stitch’s pink love interest, will appear in the sequel.

And if you needed another reason to be excited, Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino reunited as Romy and Michele to preview Romy & Michele 2, which is currently expected next year.

Marvel And More

Marvel unveiled a new Avengers: Doomsday teaser and confirmed the core cast for its upcoming X-Men reboot. The film will arrive May 5, 2028, with Kit Connor as Cyclops and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost among the confirmed cast members.

Disney also shared a new look at Percy Jackson and the Olympians, updates from the Star Wars franchise, and a preview of Oswald.

Meanwhile, Ice Age: Boiling Point is set for February 5, 2027, with Queen Latifah returning as Ellie and Denis Leary back as Diego.

Frozen 3 remains on track for November 2027. Disney shared new concept art and confirmed that the third and fourth films are being developed together as a two-part conclusion to the saga: one expected to answer long-standing questions about Elsa’s powers, Hans, and more.

From superhero teams and magical kingdoms to dancing snowmen, new Disney adventures, and a teenage Miguel, D23 proved there is truly something coming for every kind of fan.
