Cruz Beckham and The Breakers are hitting the road in the U.S., launching their first headline run tonight in Washington, DC.!
The tour serves as a live preview of their upcoming EP, WEAR & TEAR, which Cruz announced last month will arrive on August 21st with six new songs. “I’m so proud to say WEAR & TEAR the EP will be yours August 21st with 6 unreleased songs,” Cruz wrote to fans on social media. “I can’t wait to take you on this journey with me.”
He added a note of gratitude to the crowd that’s already been following the project: “To those that came to my shows, you’re the reason we chose these specific tracks. Thank you for being a part of this. To those that haven’t been to a gig yet, I can’t wait for us to get to know each other—these songs are an introduction to who and what I am.”
Onstage, Cruz performs alongside The Breakers: Dan Ewins, Telmo Seixas, and Dario Scotti, a lineup that has steadily built momentum through intimate live sets and headline shows built around a raw, energetic sound.
After tonight’s DC opener, the group will move through Brooklyn, Toronto, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland before wrapping the initial leg on August 10th in Los Angeles. Along the way, they’ll also hit major festival slots at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
Fans who miss this run can still catch Cruz Beckham & The Breakers later in the year: the group is scheduled to play Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, GA on September 19th, with tickets on sale now. In the meantime, WEAR & TEAR is available to pre-save ahead of its August 21st release.
