Rare Beauty is expanding its fragrance line with a second scent, and Selena Gomez is framing it as an ode to fresh starts.

Described by the brand as “bright, blooming, and full of possibility,” Rare Beginnings Eau de Parfum is a fruity floral that opens fresh and radiant before settling into a sweet, lasting warmth. The new fragrance is set to arrive on August 7th.

“I try to look at each day—each moment—as a new opportunity,” Selena said in the press release announcing the scent. “There’s always something beautiful ahead. I wanted this fragrance to capture that feeling of possibility, so bright and sweet.”

Rare Beginnings can be worn on its own, but Rare Beauty is continuing its tradition of layering with the launch of two new scented balms. The Fruity Pear balm is designed to add a “fresh, juicy layer,” while Sweet Marshmallow brings a “creamy, alluring layer” to the base fragrance.

“These layering balms are all about making fragrance fun and personal,” Sel said. “I love pairing them with our Eau de Parfums to match whatever mood I’m in. It completely transforms the way the scent wears and adds dimension in a subtle way.”

Rare Beginnings Eau de Parfum will retail for $78, with the layering balms priced at $20 each. All three will be available starting August 7th at Sephora, sephora.com, and rarebeauty.com.
