Charli xcx only just dropped her eighth studio album, MUSIC, FASHION, FILM, on Friday but the pop queen is already giving fans even more. Alongside the full-length release, she’s unveiled a B-Sides Edition that brings three extra tracks into the fold, plus three additional videos to match.
“Traditionally, b sides often become fan favorites… and I guess in the case of some of the b sides for this album, that has proven to be true,” Charli wrote on the album’s B-Sides Instagram account.
She explained that she originally resisted putting the tracks on streaming because it felt “counter intuitive to the whole ethos of those songs,” but ultimately decided to make an exception for fans who’ve been asking for them.“I know you all really wanted them so I’ve begrudgingly put them on iTunes lol. You can call me a hypocrite, I don’t mind ;)”
The B-sides first appeared as vinyl-only bonus tracks, but Charli says she couldn’t leave the angels waiting. “Love you all and I hope you enjoy these special songs in ur ears xx,” she added.
For collectors, a limited B-Sides Box Set is available now through Charli’s official store. The package pairs the full album on 180g black vinyl with three 7-inch singles featuring “Rock Music,” “SS26,” and “Camera” plus their exclusive B-sides, all tucked into a custom dust bag.
It also includes a 48-page soft-cover book of never-before-seen visuals from the album’s creation, a large newsprint poster, a postcard, and deluxe packaging finished with custom-printed tissue and embossed lettering. Copies are limited worldwide.
The digital B-Sides Edition on iTunes expands the standard album to 14 tracks in total, blending the original 11-song lineup with the three new extras and accompanying videos for fans who want the complete MUSIC, FASHION, FILM experience in one place.
