Lily Allen is getting a feature-length documentary at Prime Video, and it looks set to trace the full arc of her career, from her early rise as the “Queen of MySpace” to her status as one of pop’s most distinctive voices.
The streaming service has announced that the film will be an intimate portrait of her life and career, with the project slated to launch globally in 2027.
Directed by Mat Whitecross, the documentary is said to lean into Allen’s impact as both a songwriter and a cultural force, with the official synopsis promising a look at how her candid storytelling helped pave the way for a generation of female artists.
Prime Video also says the film will include interviews with people who know her best, though no participants have been named yet.
Right now Lily is in the middle of a new era after releasing West End Girl, her first album in seven years, and she’s currently touring the record with festivals and arena shows.
Co-produced by Magna Studios and Mint Pictures, with Altitude handling theatrical and home entertainment rights worldwide, the film is shaping up to be a major look back at one of British pop’s most recognizable figures.
