Slayyyter just checked a major late-night box. Last night, the pop star made her first-ever televised performance on The Tonight Show, and she made sure it was anything but ordinary.
For the performance, Slayyyter transformed the stage into a janky backyard-style setup that echoed the visual energy of her Coachella set. She then tore through “DANCE…,” the fourth single from her latest LP, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, which arrived March 27th via RECORDS/Columbia Records. The performance felt like a perfect extension of the album’s chaotic, glossy, and self-aware pop world.
The televised moment arrives during a packed run for the singer. She’s set to hit Governors Ball in New York in June, Lollapalooza in July, and Reading & Leeds Festivals in the U.K. in August, keeping her in front of major festival crowds all summer long.
And the momentum doesn’t stop there; Slayyyter’s WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR kicks off July 26th in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, with three sold-out shows on July 26th, 27th, and 29th.
After those hometown dates, she’ll head overseas to Australia before returning to North America for two sold-out Los Angeles shows at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall with Pearly Drops supporting.
From there, the sold out tour continues through Vancouver, South America, Europe, and the U.K., before wrapping on November 5th in London. Between a standout TV debut, festival slots, and a global tour, Slayyyter is clearly turning WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA into a full-blown era.
