Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Kitchen has officially made the jump from California to New York City, opening its first location in Midtown West yesterday. The Los Angeles-based takeout and delivery concept has already built a strong following on the West Coast, and now New Yorkers can finally see what the buzz is about.

The menu leans into the brand’s signature health-conscious style, with salads, bowls, pizzas, pastas, wraps, soups, rotisserie chicken, and even desserts. Everything is gluten-free and made without refined sugars, seed oils, corn, peanuts, or preservatives, which makes the whole thing feel very Goop in the best possible way.

Paltrow said the New York launch felt especially personal, telling Eater that she’s from here and that her friends and family had been pushing her to open Goop Kitchen in the city. “It’s a homecoming in a certain sense for me,” she said, which makes the move feel a little more sentimental than your average restaurant expansion.

The Midtown West location is delivery-only for now, but it’s just the beginning. Additional New York spots are already in the works, including East Williamsburg and the Upper East Side, with more Manhattan and Brooklyn locations expected to open before the end of the year. Goop Kitchen also continues to operate 14 locations in California, and the company is already eyeing Florida as its next expansion market.

For anyone curious about the hype, this launch gives New Yorkers a chance to try Paltrow’s take on fast-casual food without leaving the city… and with a menu that’s equal parts wholesome and indulgent, it’s definitely designed for the wellness crowd.
