Get ready for the show of a LIFETIME…
The Chainsmokers have kicked off their highly anticipated fall World War Joy 2019 North American tour and it might be the greatest (actually it is) production and tour in history, no joke. Taking off last week in Cincinnati, the boys have already hit states such as Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, which is apart of the forty-one city tour.
Bringing along 5 Seconds of Summer and Lennon Stella to join the fun on tour as supporting acts, Alex and Drew sure as hell knew how to make one heck of a show with not only themselves, but their supporting acts as well. Fire explosions, dirt bikes, a flying stair case, high-flying circus stunts, a flying bridge, lasers, a giant black hamster ball, and more were featured during the sixteen song set that will make you scream “WOW.”
While the duo faced some bitter-criticism from, well… bitter fans of other artists for “copying” other tours, Alex and Drew showed them up x 1000 like they pros they are with an authentic and unique extravaganza that’s unlike any other. Featuring their signature and iconic hits like ‘Closer,’ ‘Something Just Like This,’ ‘Don’t Let Me Down,’ ‘Paris,’ ‘All We Know,’ and ‘Sick Boy‘; they also played a new song titled ‘Push My Luck,’ that hopefully will be released some time soon.
On top of the killer show, drummer Matt McGuire (who brought the beats with Alex and Drew all night long) will continue to blow the minds of audiences across the US this Fall with his twenty-feet high up drum solo that is hella fire, literally.
The show was incredible and I want to give a MAJOR thank you to Alex and Drew for always being the best of guys; they truly don’t get enough credit. If you have the chance to head to a show this year… do it, you won’t regret it. Check out some of the photos I took this weekend below!
