Grab the popcorn because TODAY’S THE DAY.

After months of waiting, Matt Rife and Owen Wilson officially hit the big screen today in Rolling Loud: The Movie, bringing the absolute chaos of one of the world’s biggest hip-hop festivals straight to theaters.

And if you’ve ever wondered what happens when you combine a family comedy, thousands of real festivalgoers, Matt Rife and an actual Travis Scott set…

Well, you’re about to find out.

WELCOME TO ROLLING LOUD

Inspired by a true story, Rolling Loud: The Movie follows an overprotective father who makes what might be the worst parenting decision of his life: sneaking his 13-year-old son into Rolling Loud. What could possibly go wrong? Basically everything.

What follows is a chaotic adventure as the pair team up with the father’s reckless co-worker and an eccentric festival volunteer, attempting to make their way through massive crowds, tight security and some increasingly complicated family dynamics.

But one of the coolest parts of the movie is that some of that festival madness is VERY real.

YES, THEY ACTUALLY FILMED AT ROLLING LOUD

Rather than trying to completely recreate the festival on a movie set, portions of the scripted comedy were filmed during Rolling Loud Miami in 2024.

That means thousands of actual Rolling Loud attendees became part of the movie’s massive festival scenes, whether they realized it at the time or not.

Even crazier? A crucial sequence was filmed in the middle of Travis Scott’s closing set, blending the scripted movie with the energy and unpredictability of the real festival happening around the cast.

Yeah, we’re going to need to see THAT on the big screen.

MATT RIFE HITS THE MOVIES

We’ve spent plenty of time talking about Matt’s massive year on the road, but Rolling Loud: The Movie gives fans the chance to see him doing something a little different.

Matt stars alongside Owen Wilson, with Travis Scott, Sexyy Red, Henry Winkler, Playboi Carti, Ski Mask and Ty Dolla $ign also appearing in the Jeremy Garelick-written and directed comedy.

It’s another major moment in what has already been a pretty wild year for Matt, and today fans can finally see what he’s been working on.

Real Rolling Loud crowds, Owen Wilson, Matt Rife, Travis Scott, and absolute festival chaos?! Yeah, we’re seated.

Rolling Loud: The Movie is officially in theaters NOW. See you at the movies!
