With the 25th anniversary of Glitter right around the corner, the icon took to social media with a mysterious new teaser that has fans wondering exactly what MiMi has planned next.
The post features vibrant pink glitter visuals and directs fans to sign up for updates, immediately connecting the mystery to the milestone anniversary of Glitter, Mariah’s 2001 album and feature-film debut.
Back in March, Mariah confirmed that she was working on plans to celebrate the era in a big way. Speaking with Variety, she revealed that a 25th-anniversary deluxe edition or reissue of the Glitter soundtrack could be in the works. “There are plans for a deluxe and a reissue, or maybe just one, I don’t know,” Mariah said at the time. “We’re on top of it, and I’m thrilled about it.”
The original Glitter film followed Billie Frank, a young singer navigating the New York City club scene as she rises from a turbulent childhood toward stardom. The movie and soundtrack have since earned a devoted cult following, with fans continuing to celebrate the project’s music, fashion, and unmistakable early-2000s energy.
