Slayyyter made her Lollapalooza debut today at Grant Park in Chicago, and she didn’t just show up, she showed out. Upgraded to a main-stage slot on the Bud Light Stage from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM, the queen looked (and, as always, sounded) incredible.
Wearing another custom GIRLHEAD hat, she opened the set with “DANCE…” and the crowd immediately lost it. Everyone was singing, dancing and fully in their element, turning the afternoon into a full-blown pop mosh pit.
She performed her newest single, “brand new chanel$,” for the first time on a festival stage, then ran through cuts from her new record including “OLD FLING$,” “CRANK,” “CANNIBALISM!,” “BROKE BITCH FREE$TYLE,” “YES GODDD,” and closed out with the fan-favorite “BEAT UP CHANEL$.”
The entire set was streamed live on Disney+ and Hulu as part of the festival’s official livestream partnership, giving her one of the biggest audiences she’s ever had. Between the main-stage upgrade, the new single and the global stream, it’s safe to say Slayyyter is getting more exposure than ever, and she used every second of it
