The countdown to spooky season officially begins now!
FX has finally unveiled the first details for American Horror Story: 13, and if you’ve been waiting for the franchise to return to its roots, this season is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet. The hit anthology series returns Thursday, September 24th at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT on FX and Hulu, with international streaming available on Disney+.
Leading the star-studded cast are fan favorites Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson, who are joined by Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, and Gabourey Sidibe. Joining the American Horror Story universe for the very first time is none other than Ariana Grande, making this one of the most anticipated casts in the show’s history.
According to the official synopsis, American Horror Story: 13 is “an unrivaled 13th installment that will do justice to everyone’s most feared number.” The new season promises to reunite audiences with beloved characters from across the anthology while introducing terrifying new nightmares.
The franchise has spent more than a decade redefining horror television, taking viewers through haunted houses, witch covens, freak shows, cursed hotels, apocalyptic landscapes, and countless unforgettable scares. Now, Season 13 is asking one chilling question: which iconic horrors will return, and what terrifying surprises are still waiting to be revealed?
To celebrate the upcoming season, American Horror Story is heading to San Diego Comic-Con in a big way. From July 23rd-26th, fans can expect themed ice cream trucks serving sinister treats inspired by each previous installment of the series, while teaser artwork for American Horror Story: 13 will tower over the festivities on the side of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
Whether you’ve been watching since Murder House or joined somewhere along the way, Season 13 looks like it’s bringing together everything fans have loved about the franchise for one massive horror event.
All previous seasons of American Horror Story are streaming now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, but until September… keep the lights on.
