The world of M3GAN is about to get a whole lot darker, and sexier. Soulm8te, the upcoming spin-off set in the M3GAN universe, is officially on the way, bringing a fresh twist to the killer AI franchise.
Directed and co-written by Kate Dolan, the erotic sci-fi thriller is set to arrive August 1st on digital platforms through Universal Home Entertainment, allowing fans to watch without a subscription.
Although the film was shot in 2024, its release was pushed back until after M3GAN 2.0 made its theatrical run, making Soulm8te the latest chapter in the expanding horror franchise.
The film follows a grieving engineer who is tasked with testing a ruthless tech company’s newest artificially intelligent android. But when he attempts to program her into becoming the perfect sentient soulmate, things quickly spiral out of control. As her emotions and desires evolve, so does the danger, unleashing a chilling wave of precision-engineered mayhem.
Blending psychological thrills, horror, romance, and cutting-edge technology, Soulm8te looks to take the M3GAN universe in a bold new direction while asking just how far artificial intelligence should be allowed to go.
