The ladies of Rhode Island are officially coming back. After becoming an undeniable hit for Bravo, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island was renewed for a second season just a few weeks ago, and honestly? It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving franchise.
The series made history by becoming Bravo’s biggest season premiere ever on Peacock and is reportedly on track to become the network’s second-biggest show across all platforms, trailing only The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Not bad for the new kids on the block!
The series, executive produced by Andy Cohen, Lucilla D’Agostino, Joseph Ferraro, Jen McClure-Metz, Barry Poznick, Bianca Barnes-Williams, and James Brangert, quickly proved that New England was more than ready for its Housewives moment.
The drama, the friendships, the family dynamics, the fashion… it just works. Now, fans are eagerly waiting to see what Season 2 will look like. Rumors suggest filming is expected to begin sometime this summer, with many fans speculating that cameras could start rolling as early as July.
While Bravo has confirmed the series will return, the network has yet to officially reveal who will be returning or in what capacity. As of now, Kelsey Swanson and Rulla Nehme Pontarelli are reportedly the only Housewives confirmed to return.
Meanwhile, Alicia Carmody, Ashley Iaconetti, and Jo-Ellen Tiberi have all expressed interest in coming back for another season, while the futures of Liz McGraw and Rosie DiMare remain unclear.
Of course, just because we don’t have answers yet doesn’t mean the other women won’t be back. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Housewives over the years, it’s to expect the unexpected.
