Icona Pop are back with a new visual for “Butterfly Feelings,” the latest taste of what’s to come from their upcoming album, Ritual, which arrives August 14 via Ultra Records/Iconic Sound Recordings.
Directed by Viktor Naumovski and filmed in the beautiful landscapes of Macedonia, the video adds another layer to the duo’s next era, one that feels both reflective and ready for what comes next.
The song and its visual arrive as part of a larger creative reset for Icona Pop, who describe the new record as a balance between healing and re-entering the world.
“Healing requires you to slow down and reflect, but you can’t work on yourself 24/7 forever,” the duo shared, capturing the emotional push and pull that seems to define this new project. It’s a sentiment that feels especially fitting for a duo known for high-energy pop anthems, as they now step into a more introspective chapter without losing the spark that made them so beloved in the first place.
