Tucker Wetmore is having a moment, and the 2026 Country Music Awards just proved it.

Fresh off winning his first-ever ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year, the rising country star took over the CMA stage with a performance that solidified his status as one of the genre’s fastest-growing names. The win came as a surprise during the final stretch of three consecutive sold-out shows in London on the European and U.K. leg of his The Brunette World Tour, making the milestone even more surreal.

At the CMAs, Wetmore delivered a high-energy performance of his hit track “Brunette,” bringing the same intensity and charisma that’s fueled his rapid rise. The moment was made even more special with a heartfelt introduction from his mother alongside country legend Shania Twain, blending personal roots with full-circle star power.

While The Brunette World Tour recently wrapped its first leg, Wetmore isn’t hitting pause anytime soon. He’s already gearing up for The Brunette World Tour Part Two, set to kick off June 21st at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. The tour will hit major cities, including Chicago and San Diego, before closing out with a highly anticipated final show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 17th.

And because it wouldn’t be a Tucker Wetmore moment without a little extra buzz, he also had fans spiraling online. Showing off his CMA look, Wetmore teased what could be his next era, captioning a TikTok featuring an unreleased track with, “How bout a new summer tune?”

With a major award win, sold-out shows across the globe, and new music already on the horizon, Tucker Wetmore isn’t just riding momentum… he’s defining it.
