Shania Twain is back with new music, and her latest single, “Dirty Rosie,” is out now! The release comes as she continues building toward her upcoming record, which she says draws deeply from her childhood and the environment she grew up in.
Speaking with People, Twain opened up about the personal meaning behind the new music. “It’s a reflection of my childhood, the environment I grew up in,” she said. “I’m turning 60 and I feel good and I’ve got to celebrate that. I’m grateful to have made it this far, so I was celebrating that with all of the Queen of Me music. But who makes you who you become basically. I had never shared that with the fans before.”
She added that longtime listeners are still getting to know a fuller version of her story. “[My fans] only know Shania from my first records… My first hit wasn’t until I was 30. So there’s a whole lot of Shania they don’t know about and that’s what the new music’s about.”
Shania’s new chapter arrives just ahead of a big weekend, as she is set to host the 2026 ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17th. With “Dirty Rosie” now out, she’s giving fans another glimpse into the personal storytelling shaping this next era.
