Selena Gomez is no stranger to opening up and being the inspiration she is, but that’s not the only thing she’s been up to. The gem is on a non-stop takeover and looks happier than ever. Starring in a hit Hulu series, Only Murders In The Building, furthering her one of a kind beauty brand, Rare Beauty, globally, and recording a new album? The list goes on and on, but I think you already know the icon she is.
Now she’s gearing up for the release of her upcoming documentary, “My Mind & Me.” The documentary will be released November 4th only on Apple TV+ and us fans cannot contain their emotions. In a newly shared Instagram post, Selena released the official trailer for the documentary; which is expected to have a run time over two hours.
According to an Apple press release, the world will be let in on the life of the global icon and the ups and downs of fame and personal struggle. Produced by Interscope Films and Light House Management and directed by Alek Keshishian, the film is set to make its official premiere on November 4th at the 2022 AFI Fest.
Speaking to The Wrap, Keshishian says he wanted to go in a different direction with the documentary. “I had no interest in making a traditional pop doc,” he said. “I wanted to show something more authentic and Selena did, too. She has a raw vulnerability that captured me… I had no idea then that it would become a six-year labor of love.”
It is a true honor, as a fan, to be let in on such a personal and tough journey of someone you love and adore. There are no words to describe the strength Selena Gomez has. I look forward to being able to watch this and can’t wait for the world to be reminded of just how incredible Selena Gomez is.
