The iconicness just continues and continues!

After almost a year of speculation and a whirlwind of rumors, it’s been confirmed that a Britney themed Broadway show is happening! Confirmation of the news was revealed last week and got the world beyond excited for the concept.

Once Upon a One More Time,’ will make it’s world premiere this fall at Broadway In Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theater starting with previews beginning October 29th, 2019; before it’s opening night on November 13th, 2019.

In an official press release, Britney shared her excitement by saying “I’m so excited to have a musical with my songs – especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore. This is a dream come true for me!”

The show then plans to head to the big apple, New York City, for a 2020 premiere. It’s been said that the show will include twenty-three of Britney’s biggest hits, including “a couple of deep album cuts.” Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages) will direct, Keone & Mari Madrid will choreograph (Justin Bieber, World of Dance), and features an original book by Jon Hartmere (The Upside, Bare).

As for the synopsis? Take a read from the official statement: “Once Upon A Time… Cinderella, Snow White, and the other fairytale princesses gather for their book club, when – oh, baby baby! – a rogue fairy godmother drops The Feminine Mystique into their corseted laps, spurring a royal revelation. Could there really be more to life than bird-made dresses and true love’s kiss? Set to the songs of Britney Spears, the Princess of Pop herself, ONCE UPON A ONE MORE TIME is an uproarious, irreverent look at the towering challenges, charms, and choices involved in finding that most elusive of endings: Happily Ever After.

Are you ready for this? I sure am!
