There are bucket-list moments in life, and then there’s getting personally invited by Britney Spears herself to see her iconic Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas. This past Friday, November 20th, that dream became reality at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The Piece of Me residency has been one of the most celebrated shows in Las Vegas history since it opened on December 27th in 2013, just months after Britney first announced it during a memorable appearance on Good Morning America just three months before.
Named after her hit song from the Blackout era, the show has become a must-see spectacle for pop fans worldwide. Just two months before my visit, Britney announced on September 9th that she would be extending the beloved residency for an additional two years… proving the Princess of Pop still reigns supreme!
I was lucky enough to receive a personal note from Britney inviting me to the show, and the entire night felt surreal from start to finish. The energy at Planet Hollywood was electric as soon as the lights went down. Britney delivered hit after hit with that signature mix of power, precision, and pure charisma that only she can bring.
From the opening “Work Bitch” to explosive performances of “Womanizer,” “3,” “Gimme More,” “Circus,” and “Toxic,” the show was non-stop entertainment. Classics like “…Baby One More Time,” “Oops!… I Did It Again,” and “I’m a Slave 4 U” had the entire audience screaming every word.
The production was massive, the dancers were sharp, and Britney’s stage presence remains untouchable. Closing the night with the high-energy encore of “Till the World Ends” sent everyone home on the ultimate high.
Getting to meet Britney again and experience the show up close was nothing short of magical. She was sweet, radiant, and every bit the superstar she’s always been. After all these years, she continues to deliver a show that celebrates her incredible catalog while reminding everyone why she’s a pop icon.
If you ever get the chance to see Piece of Me in Vegas, take it. Britney Spears knows how to put on a show like no one else.
