Slayyyter is about to make her Coachella debut look and sound like a full-blown arrival. The pop disruptor confirmed that her Friday Mojave set will feature every song from WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, and in true Slayyyter fashion, she’s using the moment to level up again by performing with a live band for the first time, starting with this show.
That’s a big move for an artist whose sound has already carved out its own lane between glossy pop, club chaos, and razor-edged attitude. And the timing couldn’t be better: WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA just scored Slayyyter her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance Albums chart, marking a major milestone for one of pop’s most fearless and self-defined artists.
Ahead of the festival, Slayyyter also gave fans a peek behind the curtain while stressing over her look and making it clear she wanted to wear something of her own design. “It just wouldn’t feel right to wear something not my own design and making,” she wrote online, which feels perfectly on-brand for an artist who’s always treated image, performance, and identity as part of the same statement.
In an exclusive chat with The Hollywood Reporter, she said she’s excited for Coachella, Governors Ball, and Lollapalooza this summer, adding that being on stage still feels natural after so much time touring. “I’m doing this next era of my music,” she shared, and Coachella looks like the official launch point.
Slayyyter’s 45-minute set runs from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. PDT on Friday at the Mojave stage, and if the setlist, the live band, and the album rollout are any indication, this is going to be one of the weekend’s most talked-about performances.
