Kim Petras is finding a way to give fans what they want, even while fighting behind-the-scenes label drama. She’s announced a “#Pretour” schedule for this month, leading into her anticipated album, Detour, with drops planned for February 10th, 17th, 24th, and March 3rd. It’s a very Kim way to roll out an era: campy title, fan-focused, and all about keeping the music flowing.

There’s still no official release date for Detour, and that’s not by choice. Kim is currently working on getting out of her deal with Republic Records after they blocked her from releasing music, which is heartbreaking for any artist, especially one as prolific as her. It’s a reminder of how much control labels, and sometimes even individuals, can have over someone else’s art and career in 2026.

In the meantime, the “#Pretour” feels like both a love letter to fans and a statement that she’s not going quietly. We’re rooting for her to get the freedom she deserves and to finally give Detour the rollout it deserves, too! Until then, we’ll be tuning into every drop and screaming along like it’s opening night.
