Charlie Puth is in his feelings again, and this time he brought Kenny G along for the ride!

His new single “Cry” is out now, with the legendary saxophonist adding that glossy, late-night ache over Charlie’s classic emotional pop production. It already feels like one of those songs that’s going to live on sad playlists and “drive home alone” soundtracks for a long time.

Charlie’s been clear about what this one means to him. “‘Cry’ is about allowing yourself to feel things fully,” he explains. “I grew up watching people I admire carry emotional weight quietly. This song is a reminder that expressing emotion is not weakness — it’s human, and sometimes it’s exactly what helps you grow.” You can hear that in the way the track builds: it doesn’t try to be tough, it leans all the way into the moment.

“Cry” is the third single from his upcoming album Whatever’s Clever!, dropping March 27th, and it rounds out the picture of where this era is headed: reflective, grown, and still stupidly catchy.

The timing is very “main pop boy moment” too! On Sunday, Charlie will be performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, putting him in front of one of the biggest audiences on the planet just as this new chapter locks in.

Starting on April 22nd, he takes all of this on the road. His Whatever’s Clever! World Tour kicks off in San Diego before crossing 34 dates across North America and then heading to Europe and the U.K. this summer.

Between the album, the tour, “Cry,” and that Kenny G feature, he’s clearly not playing around this era. Pre-order the new album now + get tour ticket and date info here!
