John Summit just gave fans a major reason to survive tax season!
During his pop-up show in Los Angeles last night, John Summit announced his new album “CTRL ESCAPE” drops April 15th, tax day, because of course the ex-accountant went for peak chaos!
He’s been teasing the project for months, but last week fans got the first real bite with “LIGHTS GO OUT,” the lead single, along with a music video. The track is pure late-night rave fuel, dark and driving, setting the tone for what feels like a proper evolution from his 2024 debut Comfort In Chaos. If this is the opener, the full album is gonna destroy dance floors everywhere.
For the uninitiated, John was crunching numbers as an actual accountant before his DJ career blew up, which makes CTRL ESCAPE feel like the ultimate “I left spreadsheets for this” flex.
His official merch store is password-protected right now, so CDs and vinyl pre-orders (and fresh merch) are almost definitely loading. Stay glued because these things sell out!
You can catch him all year in Vegas residencies and more, plus when Experts Only Festival takes over Randall’s Island in New York from September 19th–20th.
Experts Only is his passion project for wild, location-specific events that bring together boundary-pushing dance acts and fans who live for that next-level energy, and with this album incoming? Those weekends are about to be even crazier!
