We are officially one month out from Charli XCX’s next chapter, and it feels cinematic in every sense of the word.
Charli confirmed today that her upcoming album Wuthering Heights arrives on February 13th, the same day the film hits theaters. “One month until my album Wuthering Heights arrives. Excited for you to hear <3,” she wrote on social media, and honestly, same.
The project serves as the full original album created for the film, and it already feels worlds away from anything Charli has done before. Back in November 2025, she gave fans an early taste of the era with “House,” featuring John Cale of The Velvet Underground, followed by “Chains of Love.” Both tracks hinted at something darker, more romantic, and more unhinged in the best way.
Earlier this year, Charli opened up on her Substack about how the album came to life, sharing that a casual conversation with filmmaker Emerald turned into something much bigger.
What started as a suggestion for a song quickly became a full album, driven by Charli’s desire to disappear into a new persona and world entirely. She described the project as “raw, wild, sexual, gothic, British, tortured, and deeply literary,” and you can feel that energy already.
Wuthering Heights will feature 12 original songs, all written specifically for the film’s universe. Fans can pre order the album now on CD and vinyl through Charli’s website, and if the early releases are any indication, this is about to be one of her most immersive and intentional bodies of work yet.
One month to go. February 13th is coming fast!
