Hilary Duff is officially back in her pop star era, and she’s not holding back. Today, Hilary announced that her sixth studio album, “Luck…or Something,” will be released on February 20th via Atlantic Records, marking her first full-length album in nearly a decade.
In a statement, Hilary explained the meaning behind the album title, and it is beautifully honest. “I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” she shared. “The album title is my way of answering that question. It’s luck, but there’s also a lot of weight in the ‘…or something’. Many of the things I’ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that’s what’s shaped me.”
Earlier this month, Hilary kicked off her musical return with “Mature,” a sleek, shimmering pop track co-written with her husband Matthew Koma and friend Madison Love. The single’s release sent the internet into full nostalgia meltdown, and the rollout only intensified when she announced her intimate “Small Rooms, Big Nerves” mini-tour.
The four-city run begins January 19th in London before heading to Toronto, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles, giving fans a rare chance to see Hilary up close just weeks before the album drops.
“My new album luck … or something is out on Feb 20th,” Hilary wrote on Instagram. “So much love, late night anxiety and a little chaos went into making this album. Hoping you see yourself in here the way I have. I love you and excited is the largest understatement.”
If you want to secure your spot in Hilary’s comeback era, fans can pre-order vinyls, CDs, and exclusive merch now through her official store. The butterflies are back, the nostalgia is real, and Hilary Duff is ready to remind everyone why she has always been that girl.
