A new era of alt-rock has arrived, and its name is Underbrook.

The band, which first made noise in June with their debut single “Heads Up,” just dropped their first EP, titled “Was Happiness Too Boring For You?” and it’s everything fans of emotional, high-impact rock have been waiting for.

Featuring seven tracks that each hit a different nerve, the record finds the group flexing real range, from introspective and raw to unapologetically anthemic. One standout, “OTWD,” just got its own music video, pairing visuals with the same fun and chaotic energy that defines their sound.

Underbrook isn’t just another project, it’s a lineup of heavy hitters:
🎤 Chris Comstock on lead vocals
🥁 James Brownstein on drums
🎸 Hayden Tree (of Crown the Empire) on bass
🎸 Josh Strock, who’s produced for Motionless In White, Fever 333, and Machine Gun Kelly
🎸 Danny Couture, a creative force behind Bring Me the Horizon, 24kGoldn, and Marshmello
🎸 Jake Torrey, whose credits include Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, and Yungblud

Together, they’ve built something that feels loud, layered, and completely their own.

“Underbrook is about channeling the emotions and chaos that shaped me, and giving them a voice through the music that first made me feel understood,” Chris said when “Heads Up” first dropped, and now that mission statement feels fully realized.

The result? A debut that’s not just exciting, it’s iconic. Was Happiness Too Boring For You? is out now on all streaming platforms.
