Netflix really just woke up the entire internet!
The official trailer for Stranger Things season five has arrived, and it feels spine-tingling, emotional, and truly like the beginning of the end. Our Hawkins heroes are older, stronger, and more united than ever, and there is no turning back now.
For the first time, everyone is in the same place with one mission: stop Vecna and close the book on the darkness that started way back when Will first disappeared.
“We kind of hit the ground running right away this season, which is really exciting and not how we have started any other season,” Noah Schnapp shared with Netflix. “Everyone is all in one place and we all have the same objective.”

But do not expect small town normal. “Nothing in Hawkins is normal anymore,” co-creator Matt Duffer explained.
“Their movement is restricted, there are Big Brother cameras everywhere, and their everyday lives are anything but normal.”
This season premieres in three cinematic drops, each tied to a holiday moment. All episodes premiere at 5PM PST, and yes, they’re taking over the holidays, so we’re not complaining:

Volume One arrives November 26th,
Volume Two arrives December 25th,
and the finale hits December 31st!
Executive producer Shawn Levy also teased just how massive this final chapter will be. “The action is next level, the visual effects are next level, but the emotional center remains the same. It is always anchored in these characters that we love.”
The official synopsis paints it clearly: Hawkins is scarred, the rifts are open, the government is watching everything, Eleven is forced into hiding again, and the fear that started this story is creeping back in as the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches. To end this nightmare, they will all have to come together one last time.

And for those holding out hope for the future of this world, the Duffers confirmed that Stranger Things will live on in new stories. They’re just not ready to spill those secrets yet, but they promise whatever comes next will have purpose, quality, and that Stranger Things magic.
The end of Hawkins is coming, and it feels HUGE. Get your Eggo waffles ready and prepare to sob, scream, and probably cheer at your TV. It’s almost time!
