Grab your Eggos and your tissues, besties! Stranger Things is officially coming to an end, and it’s going out with a bang worthy of Hawkins, Indiana.

Netflix has announced that the long-awaited final season, Stranger Things 5, will roll out in three parts over the winter holidays, making the farewell to one of TV’s biggest cultural phenomena feel like a true event.

The first four episodes will drop on November 26th, the next three arrive on Christmas Day, and the finale will hit on New Year’s Eve, all streaming at 5PM PST.

But that’s not all: the Hawkins gang is taking their final bow to the big screen. In an unprecedented move, Netflix will screen the finale in over 350 theaters across the U.S. and Canada starting New Year’s Eve, with showings beginning at 5PM PST and continuing into New Year’s Day.

In a joint statement, the Duffer Brothers shared, “We’re beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of Stranger Things in theaters. It’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and we’re so grateful to Ted, Bela and everyone at Netflix for making it happen.”

They added, “Getting to see it on the big screen, with incredible sound, picture and a room full of fans, feels like the perfect, dare we say bitchin’, way to celebrate the end of this adventure.”

Since its debut in 2016, Stranger Things has become one of the most beloved and influential shows of the streaming era, blending sci-fi thrills, ‘80s nostalgia, and heartfelt storytelling into an unstoppable pop-culture force.

The series turned its young cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink, into global stars, while resurrecting Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” into a chart-topping anthem once again.

This final season promises the show’s biggest stakes yet, closing the portal between Hawkins and the Upside Down once and for all. And seeing it play out in theaters? That’s the kind of full-circle magic that only Stranger Things can deliver.

So clear your calendar, queue the mixtape, and prepare to say goodbye. Because starting this November, we’re going back to Hawkins one last time.
