Charli XCX just gave Los Angeles the moment. During Lorde’s Ultrasound World Tour stop at the Kia Forum last night, the queen herself made a surprise appearance, and the crowd absolutely lost it.
Together, Charli and Lorde performed the remix of “Girl, So Confusing,” their first official collaboration that instantly became a fan favorite when it dropped back in June 2024, just two weeks after Charli’s BRAT release.
The remix, which was first teased on Charli’s now-iconic “brat wall” in Brooklyn, marked a new era of pop girls uniting instead of competing, and last night’s performance proved why.
In true duo fashion, both Charli and Lorde showed up serving coordinated looks: unzipped jackets, cropped tops, and jeans, echoing the vibe of their Madison Square Garden SWEAT Tour performance, where they also requested their hair be styled “as similar as possible.”
And of course, it was pure chaos in the best way possible. Charli sang and walked through the crowd, hyping everyone up before joining Lorde onstage for the final chorus. The two of them ended the song together under neon lights, a full-circle pop girl moment for the ages.
The “Girl, So Confusing” remix remains to be one of the biggest collabs, and last night reminded us why the pop universe is so much better when these two women share the stage.
