Two icons, one unforgettable conversation. Mariah Carey sat down with Keke Palmer for the latest episode of Baby, This Is Keke Palmer,” titled Motherhood, Love & Legacy with Mariah Carey, and the episode is just as fabulous as it sounds.

When asked about her famous “Queen of Christmas” title, Mariah laughed and gave all the credit to her fans. “I think it was the world that did it, and I leaned in because I really do love Christmas that much,” she said.

The conversation also touched on her early days as a songwriter, when she was just 18 years old and offered $5,000 for her publishing rights. She turned it down, knowing the value of her art: “I believed in my songs, and I wasn’t going to give them away. That’s what I had to offer to the world.”

Of course, Mariah also opened up about her brand-new sixteenth studio album,Here For It All“, which dropped last week. “I would have like four new songs, which really isn’t even close enough for an album… I just knew I needed like 10 songs at least. And then I said this should be an album, let’s just do an album, and we did.”

And because it’s Mariah, she couldn’t resist teasing what’s next. Beyond her music, she revealed she’s “thinking about putting something together that’s like some sort of cosmetics moment,” though she’s taking her time before diving into the next chapter.

Singer, songwriter, actress, author, mother, and soon, maybe beauty mogul? Mariah Carey is always full of surprises, and this latest sit-down with Keke Palmer proves she’s not slowing down anytime soon.
