Madonna has always been a voice ahead of her time, but now she’s using a new platform to share her wisdom: podcasting.
The Queen of Pop just sat down with Jay Shetty for her first-ever podcast appearance, opening up about spirituality, forgiveness, and what has guided her through the highs and lows of her life.
“You need to be spiritual to be successful. Success is having a spiritual life, period. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have one,” she explained. “My soul’s purpose is to reveal light in the world through whatever I do. I want it all, but I want it for the sake of sharing, not to keep it for myself.”
The conversation dove deep into forgiveness and letting go of pain. “Holding a grudge, hating someone or wanting them to suffer … it’s a kind of poison, a kind of cancer,” Madonna said.
“That’s why it’s important to find a way to forgive people who you perceive as your biggest enemies. For a really long time, it was my brother, who died recently.”
In true Madonna fashion, she also reflected on her refusal to conform. “I don’t fit in, and not fitting in is what saves you,” she shared, a line that feels like both advice and a mantra for a career that’s constantly redefined culture.
She went on to talk about the importance of humility and perspective: “Spiritual wisdom is not helpful when everything’s going your way. It’s helpful when you’re challenged and when you’re happy.
“It’s helpful to remember that at any given time, in any moment, it could be gone. So don’t take it for granted. Have humility… What is happening to you is meant to happen to you, and that you’re going to be okay.”
Raw, vulnerable, and as unfiltered as ever, Madonna’s debut podcast interview proves that even after four decades at the top, she’s still revealing new sides of herself and reminding us why she remains an icon not just in music, but in life.
