Rachel Platten is taking back her power.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of her breakout anthem, the singer-songwriter has announced Fight Song (Rachel’s Version) and fans can officially pre-order vinyl and CDs starting today. The project drops this Friday, September 26th via Violet Records.
“This project means so much to me,” Rachel shared in her announcement. “As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Fight Song, I had no idea when I wrote these songs in moments of vulnerability that they would go on to change my life.
“For a decade, they’ve lived out in the world, carrying their own weight. They’ve been parts of your moments of strength, doubt, and connection,” she said.
Rachel explained that this wasn’t about reinventing her past but reclaiming it. “I’ve gone back to some of my originals, not to change them, but to reclaim them. The new Rachel’s Versions are infused with the voice I have now, the wisdom I’ve gained, and the undeniable pride of owning my own masters.”
Fans can pre-save the project now, and for collectors, signed vinyls and CDs are available for pre-order. There’s even a limited-edition “Fight Song” bundle, which includes a physical CD and a sleeveless tee, a must for anyone who’s been with her since the beginning.
Rachel closed her note to fans with gratitude: “Thank you to all of you, who have stood by me over these years. I can’t wait for you to hear them again, this time, fully, completely, and unapologetically mine.”
Of course, Fight Song remains one of the biggest pop anthems of the 2010s. The track hit No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the UK Singles Chart, and even went 6× Platinum in the U.S.
Now, a decade later, Fight Song (Rachel’s Version) is set to remind the world why Rachel Platten’s voice, both literally and figuratively, continues to be a force.
