Taylor Swift is taking us back to the movies, and this time, it’s all about her brand-new album. On October 3rd, the same day “The Life of a Showgirl” officially drops, Swifties around the world will be able to head to the theater for Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.
Think of it like the ultimate public secret session. The film will run during release weekend (Friday through Sunday) and will premiere simultaneously across time zones at AMC, Regal, Cinemark, and more.
International fans won’t have to wait long either: tickets in countries including Canada, Mexico, the U.K., France, Germany, Australia, and beyond go on sale Tuesday, September 23rd.
The film promises to go deeper than just a listening party. Fans will get the premiere of the first music video from the album, “The Fate of Ophelia,” along with lyric videos for other songs, behind-the-scenes footage, and Taylor’s own personal reflections on her writing process.
As Taylor described it, the project is essentially a “cut by cut explanation of what inspired this music.”
“The Life of a Showgirl” era is already shaping up to be one of Taylor’s boldest yet, and honestly? We’re so here for the big screen treatment.
