Miley Cyrus just gave us another reason to cry, celebrate, and stream on repeat. 💫
The superstar released the deluxe edition of her ninth studio album, “Something Beautiful,” and alongside it came the gorgeous new music video for “Secrets.”
The track, featuring none other than Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood, dives deep into Miley’s reconciliation with her dad, Billy Ray. “This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved,” Miley shared.
“In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same. Thank you to Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood for bringing magic to the music. This song is for my dad.”
And yes, it’s as moving as it sounds. The video captures the song’s raw, heartfelt message while showcasing Miley at her most vulnerable and powerful.
The deluxe version of “Something Beautiful” expands the original tracklist to 15 songs and closes with a jaw-dropping collab with David Byrne titled “Lockdown.” It’s the perfect finale to a record that’s already one of her boldest and most personal projects yet.
ICYMI, the album originally dropped in May and was paired with a short film of the same name. After premiering at Tribeca, the film was shown in theaters across North America for one night only on June 12th, followed by international screenings on June 27th, proving this era has been anything but ordinary.
