Djo has surprise-released The Crux Deluxe, a brand-new edition of his third album, The Crux, which originally dropped in April via AWAL.
The deluxe version features the original tracklist plus 12 (!!) new songs. It’s basically a whole new record to obsess over, and fans are already calling it one of his most ambitious projects yet.
“This album serves as a companion piece for The Crux, and a peek into the process that went into putting that album together,” Joe said of the album on Instagram this morning. “I knew I wanted to release more music and the more I worked on getting it together the more I realized I had more to share than I initially intended,” he said.
“Although this is a new album, it didn’t feel like a new body of work to me, these were all written within the same window as the songs that made The Crux and sonically and lyrically explore similar themes that I was grappling with in my own life,” he added.
The best part? You don’t have to wait, The Crux Deluxe is streaming everywhere now. And if you’re a collector, physical editions (CD and vinyl) are up for pre-order on his official site, making it the perfect add to your shelf.
