Mariah Carey is heading somewhere she’s never performed before, the Amazon Rainforest. Organizers of the upcoming Amazônia Live: Today and Always concert announced that the superstar will headline the September 17th event, taking place on the Guamá River in Belém, Brazil.

The performance will see Mariah singing at sunset on a floating stage designed to resemble the Victoria Amazonica, the iconic plant that symbolizes the region. Beyond the spectacle, the concert has a bigger purpose: raising global awareness about preserving the rainforest, often referred to as the “lungs of the Earth.”

The timing is powerful. The event comes just two months before the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), also set to be held in Belém, making Mariah’s performance part of a larger effort to highlight the urgent need for environmental protection.

A stage in the rainforest, a voice like no other, and a message the world needs to hear: Mariah Carey performing in the Amazon is bound to be unforgettable.
