If there’s one thing Yungblud knows how to do, it’s take over a stage, and that’s exactly what he did at the 2025 MTV VMAs.
The superstar, currently in the middle of his Idols World Tour, showed up on the red carpet already radiating chaotic energy. He didn’t even need to say it, but his vibe alone screamed: “I’m going to make the gays and girls lose their minds tonight.” And spoiler alert, he absolutely did.
The show-stopping moment came when Dom hit the stage to open with Ozzy Osbourne’s iconic “All Aboard” sound. The crowd roared as he launched into his own powerful renditions of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” and “Crazy Train.”

Just when the audience thought it couldn’t get any better, Steven Tyler appeared. That’s right, Steven Tyler. Together, Yungblud and the Aerosmith legend belted out “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” and the arena practically levitated.
Tyler and Joe Perry joined Dom for a full-on medley of Ozzy’s biggest hits, cementing this as one of those VMA moments people will be replaying for years. It’s worth remembering how much this all clearly meant to Dom.
Just a few months ago, he shared a heartfelt video of himself meeting Ozzy backstage at Black Sabbath’s farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham. Ozzy gifted him a piece so special that Yungblud continues to wear it daily, a true symbol of passing the torch from one rock icon to the next. Seeing him honor that gift on one of music’s biggest stages? Honestly, chills.
Of course, let’s not skip over the obvious: Dom looked hot. The messy glam, the signature swagger, the way he commands every camera on him, it’s rockstar energy in its purest form. It’s no wonder his tour, in support of his fourth studio album Idols (which dropped June 20th), has been selling out cities worldwide.

With shows that kicked off in Los Angeles just last month, fans can still grab tickets to catch this era live, and after his VMA performance, the demand is about to go through the roof.
Yungblud didn’t just perform at the VMAs, he owned them. It wasn’t just a tribute, it was a statement: Dom isn’t just inspired by rock legends, he’s becoming one himself.
