Sabrina Carpenter is everywhere, and she’s doing it with style.
The pop starlet sat down with Interview Magazine to talk all things music, image, and independence while serving looks in Miu Miu, Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent, and more during the luxe editorial shoot.
Carpenter opened up about the conversation around her new record, Man’s Best Friend, which has caused a stir due to its cover art. But she’s not here for the noise.
“If I’m being completely transparent, I don’t do anything anticipating what the reaction will be. I only do things that speak to me, that feel right, and make sense when you hear the music,” she said.

“When I came up with the imaging for it, it was so clear to me what it meant. So the reaction is fascinating to me. You just watch it unravel and go, ‘Wow,’” she told the magazine.
She also revealed a surprising detail about her home life: “I don’t even have a TV in my apartment. It sounds like I’m so disconnected and old school, but when I’m here, I just listen to music.”
And in true Sabrina fashion, she wasn’t afraid to lean into the deeper (and cheekier) metaphors of her work. “This is on a completely different subject, but I do feel like submission is both dominant and submissive.“
She added, “The image, the way I see it, is a metaphor, but I’m sure that other people are like ‘dang, she’s a sub.’”
Between the bold visuals, the unapologetic attitude, and a record that’s already shaping up to be a career-defining moment, Sabrina Carpenter is proving once again why she’s pop’s current “it” girl.
Man’s Best Friend is out now!
