If you’re ready for chills, thrills, and Tyriq Withers on the big screen, you’re in luck. One of 2025’s most anticipated horror films, HIM, is finally arriving in theaters this month, and it’s already shaping up to be a must-watch.
Tyriq, fresh off his role as Teddy Spencer in I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025), now takes center stage as a promising young football player invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1.
The legendary quarterback, played by Marlon Wayans, pulls his protégé into a blood-curdling descent into the inner sanctum of fame, power, and the pursuit of excellence at any cost. The film also stars Julia Fox and is directed by Justin Tipping, with horror mastermind Jordan Peele joining as a producer.
And while HIM is serving the scares this fall, Tyriq is already booked and busy. Next year, he’ll pivot to romance in Reminders of Him, directed by Vanessa Caswill and written by none other than Colleen Hoover.
HIM officially hits theaters September 19, but select locations will have early screenings on September 18. So check your local listings, grab your popcorn, and prepare yourself, because Tyriq Withers is about to make horror his new home turf.
